Gone are those days when 300 runs on the scoreboard was a dreaded scene for the chasing side. Scoring runs at a quick pace was a luxury that very few players afforded in early days.

However, with the passage of time, the players became fearless and rarely shy away from playing the aggressive game. The advent of T20s have only enhanced their skillsets. What has further aided the players is the several new rules and restrictions. Fielding restrictions or powerplays, use of two new-balls in an ODI innings, free-hits, smaller grounds, bigger bats have allowed the batsmen to score freely.

Not surprisingly, teams nowadays are constantly chasing down totals in excess of 300.

So through this article, we take a look at the teams which have chased down 300-plus total the most number of times:

  1. Pakistan and South Africa – 7:

On the other hand, Pakistan’s highest successful 300-plus total is 329.

England are fast becoming one of the most feared units in the game. Their disastrous outing in the 2015 World Cup has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for them. Since the World Cup, their fortunes in ODIs have improved remarkably under the inspirational leadership of Eoin Morgan.

Coming to the 300-plus chases, England have done it on 8 occasions.  Their highest successful chase is 350.

  1. Australia – 9:
